When you submit a screenplay, script, or other content to us for analysis, proofreading, or any other service:

  • You represent and warrant that you own or have the legal right to submit the content.
  • You may not submit content that you do not own or have rights to, including screenplays, scripts, or other works owned by third parties or protected by copyright you do not hold.
  • You acknowledge that submitted content may be processed by third-party artificial intelligence systems, including but not limited to Anthropic’s Claude AI. By submitting content, you consent to such processing.
  • We do not claim ownership of your submitted content. You retain all rights you held prior to submission.
  • You should not submit content containing confidential information, trade secrets, or sensitive personal information about yourself or others.
  • We are not responsible for the security or confidentiality of content processed by third-party AI systems.

4. No Refund Policy

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the product description and understand that no refund will be issued.

If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at screenwritingcommunity.net/contact/ within 72 hours of the transaction. We will review billing errors on a case-by-case basis.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that any analysis, proofreading, or other service will produce any particular result or improve the commercial prospects of your work.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS, THE SITE, OR ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE PURCHASED THROUGH THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

This limitation of liability is a fundamental element of the basis of the bargain between you and us. The pricing of our products and services reflects this allocation of risk.

Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
